Island Time – Bermuda

April 24, 2019 | By

Just over 900 miles north of the Bahamas and 650 miles east of North Carolina the British overseas territory of Bermuda is an island of bright colored homes, brilliant blue waters, world-class dining, tasty libations and year-round activities.

The topography of the 21-mile island is not conducive for much production. The Bermudians say their only export is friendliness, which I can vouch is true from my recent visit.

The 66,000 residents take pride in their homes and community and maintain a very clean and safe island.  They want visitors to not just be at a hotel, but experience all the country has to offer.  So, if you are looking for an all-inclusive, this is not the island for you.

Beach season is April to October.  From November to March you will still find the island a respite from US winters and is the perfect escape for golf, tennis, exploring or just allowing yourself to indulge in dining, spa and relaxation.

With 5 Virtuoso® hotels, 6 golf courses, world-class dining, and top-rated beaches I am confident that Wanderlust Travel can plan a Bermuda vacation for even the most discerning of travelers.

Even just a 2 to 3 night getaway is possible with some flight options from the East Coast taking less than 2 hours.  There is no need for a currency exchange, converters or even to clear customs when you get back to the States.  It couldn’t be any easier for Americans to make this trip.

Whether you are looking to travel solo, as a couple or a with a group of friends, check out the Bermuda you had no idea existed.
