Fabled Cinque Terre

May 31, 2011 | By

The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera.  The Cinque Terre are five coastal villages in the Province of La Spezia in the Ligurian Region of Italy.  Their names are Monterosso Al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.  The Cinque Terre is noted for its beauty. Over centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible “modern” development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre is a very popular tourist destination.

We have chosen for the Fabled Cinque Terre two lovely properties, the four star Hotel Porto Roca situated in Monterosso al Mare, and the Superior three star Hotel Villa Argentina, located in Riomaggiore.  This package is based on two people traveling together. Finding an available room in the height of the tourist season can be virtually impossible in several of the towns, good idea to make reservations well in advance.
